Commonly thought to stand for International Organisation for Standardisation, ISO is actually derived from the Greek word “isos” meaning equal. Due to the different acronyms that the name “International Organisation for Standardisation” would have in different languages (for example IOS in English) at its inception it was decided to give it one short all-purpose name of “ISO”
In order to meet the requirements of the Standard, we needed to have in place a documented Quality Management System and to be able to demonstrate its implementation and ongoing maintenance through external audit. Registration is an indicator of our company’s ability to efficiently and professionally fulfill or exceed customer requirements.
Pathfinder is a member of The Debt Managers Standards Association DEMSA and follow their Code of Practice which is approved by the Trading Standards Institute. To become accepted as a member of DEMSA an independently appointed auditor from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales conducted a detailed audit of the way we work.
In February 2013 the government announced a new voluntary industry standard where members needed to demonstrate they complied with a new Protocol for debt Management. We were one of the very first companies to demonstrate compliance with the requirements.
